Do tattoos stop hair growth
Tattooing is a type of body modification, done by inserting indelible ink into the dermis layer of the skin to change the pigment. Tattoos, especially on darker skin tones, are known to be a very painful process. While tattoos have been around for centuries, it wasn’t until recently that tattoo inks used were actually tested for safety.
Most tattoo inks are made with synthetic dyes, making them non-toxic, but some inks contain potentially hazardous ingredients. The main problems are allergies to the dyes used and infection from dirty equipment being used on multiple clients without being sterilized. Chronic skin reactions are rare, due to the fact that tattoo ink particles are large. Although there have been reports of skin disorders, including carcinomas, associated with tattoos, the incidence is very low. Tattoos are not thought to cause skin cancer, because pigment isn’t implanted in the skin, but are instead deposited in the outermost epidermal layers where they are eventually sloughed off.
